Yes, there are insensitive people here. Namely, myself.

Yes, I am an insensitive bastard to a point. When I think that people are grandstanding or making threats to be an attention whore, I get VERY cold very quickly. Reason? I have tried to commit suicide in the past, and so has a friend. If someone is being HONEST about this kind of thing, I will try and reach out to them. However, if I hear someone threating suicide and they don't mean it, or use the "hard knock life" excuse to justify immature actions, I'll probably tell them to fuck off. Suicide threats are NOT something to be taken lightly.

It was sarcasm. And I want to know what moral values you want to know about me, because anyone's set of morals would be a very long list. And I dun wanna look like a Darkstar ina ny of my posts. Ever.

What is more moral stand on life ye who is deaf. Human life, plant life, animal life, must I make it clear, okay, what is your moral stand on ending life of humans. From scenarios 1 being a person is a great leader but is a private scumball to 10 where the person is a genocidal murder and a scumball to boot. The degree of evil of the person increases exponentially at a constant rate from 1-10.

I understand that all! What particular moral standing do you wnat "o ye one who is deaf"!?

Ending human life as far as what?

Genocide: 10
Murder: 9
Suicide: I can't really say....in some cases it is more than others, but it will range from 7-9.

If I seriously thought they'd kill themselves I'd suggest they get help. I had a friend I loved try to kill herself twice; I don't take it lightly. But then again when some does it just for attention fuck 'em they deserve it.

When I hear about someone who did it for attention, I feel a slight twinge of regret when I flip off the TV. People don't know how good they have it here.

I feel the same thing...those with idle threats shouldn't receive any sympathy, but I think that all threats should be taken seriously, at first.

The way I see things is this. If a person is going through hardships and/or depressed and wants to die, I can fully sympathize with it, and I'll do what I can to help. To these people, life has become a nightmare, and they just can't see or accept any way out other than death. I've been there, and I've seen people there, it ain't a fun thing.

On the other hand this fundie is going to jump off a building just to prove a point, there's no other reasons at all other than her irrational beliefs. It could be argued that she's mentally ill, but that's a serious stretch. I really can't feel any sympathy for someone who treats her life so cheaply. To me it's like arguing with someone who claims he can fly and then having him say he'll jump off a building to prove it. Good for him, I wish him the best of luck but I ain't gonna be upset when he spats himself on the sidewalk. That's exactly how I view this fundie.

You missed the point, did you read the description that came after 1 and 10? They were scenarios that asked at what point of villiany would you kill a human ranging from social good privatly scum to genocidal scum. But I've thought about and wasted enough time debating this pointless subject. It is pointless because every man, woman, and child is some flavor of SOB or another. We are all insensitive, some to killing and others to other things. I don't know what you were hoping to gain from this topic, guilt perhaps, but whatever it was its moot. Every human is a cold jerk in some form, and if you take offense well, sorry, it still won't change the standing of those who you see as insensitive jerks due to their beliefs. This topic is pointless because its just you voicing personal opinion about common knowledge and what I guess is trying to bring guilt to those who don't exactly abide by your moral cues. If you think that some of our cold behavior is wrong, all well and good, but no point making a hooplah of it. With that I take my leave for the day.

Okay, but in the context of her being a Christian, she thinks, hell she KNOWS, that her beliefs aren't irrational. Are you tellng me that you wouldn't feel the least bit of spite, that MAYBE you just might feel SOME TWINGE of guilt or remorse had you been the one to tell her to jump off the buolding and then she did, and died? Fuck, she's a fucking human! And if you tell me that you can't feel that small pang of regret, then you are no human to me. At leats, no moral one. You are sick, twisted, and cruel...things no human ever should be.

When annoying people mentioned there've considered or attempt suicide I suggest they try or try again and suggest methods. I think that places me firmly in the "doesn't give a fuck about there feelings" category.

I first felt curiousity and a bit of confused sadness that this chick would consider jumping off a building because of her beliefs; nothing more. However, after person upon person mentioned how great it would be to watch it on video/pay-per-view/etc., THAT is when I started to feel more for her and less for you guys. I hate attention-grabbers probably more than most, because I have had over a dozen people in my life threaten to end their own lives (some even tried to blame their suicide attempts on me, which fabulously gets them even MORE attention--who cares how the fuck that makes me feel).

However, whether this chick is putting everyone on to get attention or she is seriously screwed up in the head, the fact that she is thinking about jumping off a building in my opinion should not be turned into the monstrosity of a joke that it has. I chuckled when the first person wrote "get out the video camera" or whatever, but after the tenth person chimed in on how great that would be, I felt sick to my stomach.

No matter how stupid she is, or what religion she is, there will still be people who will grieve and mourn if she dies. Find some empathy.

I do care for my fellow humans, as long as they show a little self-respect and a glimmer of common sense.

And if I want to reiterate things every post, I'll damn well put it in, like Fgalkin or Soontir.
