Blogs intrigue me (advice)
My interest of writing always made me want to take up journal writing. I just never seem to get around to it but this blog notion seems kind of cool, its online nature means I'll have alot more access to it so I can write.
Anyone have advice/tips/suggestions on having a blog, like where to go, who to use, etc.

If you want free, I suggest Livejournal. But I wrote my own software which is a lot more customisable. Will need to host it on your own webspace, though.

A friend of mine uses Livejournal and is pretty happy with it. I might look into that one.CDS wrote:If you want free, I suggest Livejournal. But I wrote my own software which is a lot more customisable. Will need to host it on your own webspace, though.

It's a decent server (a lot better than blurty's, anyway) and the software is quite good; personally I just don't like the lack of ease of beign able to customise it, hense why I wrote my own. Of course - some people are happy with what you can do with itStravo wrote:A friend of mine uses Livejournal and is pretty happy with it. Go for LJ if you're an emo teenager who is full of angst.

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Teenagers really abuse LJ though since 90% of them don't have real problems. Or they're just fucking stupid.StormtrooperOfDeath wrote:Go for LJ if you're an emo teenager who is full of angst.

How the heck is that abuse?! If someone wants to post his thoughts on LJ, why the heck does he need 'problems'?

I dunno about using a blog or LJ or Xanga or whatever to tell the world about my personal life, but I've been thinking about starting a political blog.
