stupidity is the result of existance.

Given the non-uniformity of intelligence, there will always be stupidity.

I find that people can be extremely intelligent and yet very stupid at the same time. So for me stupidity is; ignorance on the topic at hand and ego. That being I might for example be studying Rocket Science. This obviously means that I am intelligent. However it would be stupid of me to perform open-heart surgery in order to satisfy my ego.

Obviously the examples were over the top, but you get the idea.
