Get a new one from www.xbox.com

They ship a new cord for free.

What's the problem: does it fizzle out after a while andd refuse to transfur electricity or start spraying sparks from one of its plugs when aged enough?

That's really weird, I have an affected model and tried to order my free replacement on x-box.com....but it won't take the last digit of my phone number, and refuses to continue on (it keeps saying I need to enter a number, when I /did/.) Even C&Ping the full number into the field gets nothing.
