Strange mouse problem

Post by Alyeska »

I have been having an issue with my mouse cursor. With my Logitech MX 500 the cursor would drift across the screen towards the upper left. Thinking it might be a bad mouse I pulled out my Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical. Its cut down the cursor drifting (no longer a couple times a day, now once a week or so) and it only drifts towards the left now. Still, what on earth is causing this?

Only thing I can think of is some noise in the line or a driver problem of some kind...if you have some canned air, blow out your USB ports? I dunno, this's a wierd one, never heard of XP's drivers doing anything like that.
