That's not compatible with the story told in the beginning of tWW. It says that the Hero of Time went away from Hyrule and never came back. The game could take place during the imprisoning war told about in aLttP, but we don't know where that was, chronologically, except that it was before aLttP. It'd be interesting because the first ZOE game had Anubis at the end who was impossible to kill in your present state until major upgrades in ZOE2. So if they did that, they'd need a sequel where Linky boy comes back and whups him royally.Dooey Jo wrote:

Kewl. My confusion arises from assuming all the Hero of Time rubbish refers to your WW character, instead of the OoT character. Oh well
And unfortunately its the boss and item oriented gameplay that put me off both. I stopped WW in the middle of doing the islands to get all the items after the temple rises: when I tried to play it again I couldn't remember which island had what that needed what, so I just stopped. Stupid talking fish.
If the games are linked, but massively spread out, then whats the point? It weakens the story for me to know that its just the same old shit over again, and that you'll never win or lose.

No, I don't think so. Ganon was supposed to attack from the Golden Land, to which he had found a secret way (not taking the front door like he did in OoT, assuming that the Golden Land is the same place as the Sacred Realm, of course). The forging of the Master Sword would put the Imprisoning war well ahead of OoT, but a Ganon already inside the Sacred Realm would imply that it was after OoT. Gah! It's impossible to make sense of the Zelda storyline!

That is the biggest weakness of WW. Hmm... personally I'd put the Oracles series either directly before or directly after links awakening, considering that Link is sent on the Oracles quests by the triforce, and during the Majora's Mask the triforce was split into it's three segments and wasn't reunited till LttP. also, Oracles link has brown hair (like the Snes/gameboy links) while OOT/MM link has blonde hair.DarkSilver wrote: Oracles of Season/Ages: the Gameboy successor to Majora's Mask, I'd say. Not really, finding the 9 maps and triforce shards really wasn't that bad, about the only hard parts were getting all the rubees to pay that fruitcake Tingle. Unless your talking about 100 percent completion, but the same can be said for most every game. Hell, getting all 100 Golden Skulltullas was daunting enough to keep me from even trying. Tingle was the real annoyance.
I think there is only one way that the new Zelda game can get a 10/10. And that will be to have Tingle die at some point.
My vision of it is that Tingle is ripping Link off again, and Link gets fed up with it. Tingle tries to take his money and Link fights back. Tingle is a boss (you have to pop his balloon with an arrow and then smack him repeatedly with your sword, OoT Ganondorf style), and every time you hit him ruppees pop out of his head. When you finally kill him his body explodes into thousands of ruppees which you may grab.
One can only dream...
