I need to get some output

Post by darthdavid »

I like to blog. There i've said it. I use deepest sender for this act. I like to have it detect my currently playing music. It does this by having the audio player dump to a text file. You then tell it what line of the file to look in and it grabs the song title and artist name. I listen to music with amaroK. There is, to my knowldge no way to have amaroK output the track info direct to a text file. I could probably make a script to do this but I have zero knowldge of amaroK scripting. amaroK does however, right out of the box, output the song title to a html file in the form of the file used by the context browser. Now I need to learn how to do one of two things 1) As I already mentioned, I could learn how to use amaroK script to get the desired output on my own, or 2) I could make a script two turn the context browser's html file into a text file. Which way do you all think would be easier and if it's amaroK scripting what's the answer do any of you know where amaroK keeps the script templates by default? I bet I could find something useful in there. I know they exist (I read about them on the amaroK wiki) but I can't find the little buggers for the life of me.

Thanks for taking the time,
