NES-era identification game

Post by Datana »

Ran across this page today. The goal of the game: try to identify all of the NES games based on the screenshots provided. I managed 26/40 on my first try, 33/40 after I changed some of my initial answers; some of these are obscure (10 & 37), while others are patently cheap for one reason or another (35 and 39 can easily fool you into thinking they are from other games). Also, it seems to prefer that answers be given as European titles -- rather than "Contra," for instance, use "Probotector" or "Gryzor." The author calls this the "easy edition" -- I wonder what the hard edition looks like.

The one in the sauna, right? River City Ransom. I thought that was one of the more obvious ones. Well, "Street Gangs" is the title it wants, but same deal.

For the record, I haven't been able to answer 13, 14, 21, 28, 32, and 33.
