Yes it's out and under the title of Age of Mythology. As for how fun it is...there's nothing really new to it. And yet it's oddly amusing. If you get it go right into a skirmish game and try out the Myth units the make the whole game worth playing. :D
Soldiers Live. And wonder why.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to
demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the
flag."

Any AoE will be inferior to a Cossacks game.

Have a very nice day.

The game has three civilizations: The Greeks, Norse and Eygptians. Each campaign goes along the historical timeline of these cultures, it just adds in a little mythology along the way. Such as the homeland of the Greeks being Atlantis and Gods interferring with mortal affairs.

On that first pic a Simple Calvery Charge through your lines on the South Quadrent would fuck you over, Along with a simple Flanking attack would smash you lines as your boys scurried over each other to get to the enemy, thier numbers becoming thier problems

That's why there are cannons. Do you know what happens when a bunch of infantry/cavalry get hit by an artillery barrage? Hunderds of dead units. they are cannon fodder . :D

Seems to me Cannons are not Turrets and Can not be yanked around by 90+ Degrees and fire through friendly troops with Deadly Accurasy

Howitzers(sp?) can fire over friendly lines. They also can assrape infantry in close formations. Infantry not in close formation will be fucked by the regular forces. As to preventing your units from charging the enemy, there is always the "defensive stance" option.

Have a very nice day.

Hurrah for Cossacks.

I still prefer Shogun and Medieval though.
