Replace China with, large chunk of the industrialized world. Really the Home Land security agency is design to and will end up focusing several organization which currently work on the inside of the US to its boarders and overseas. That’s why so many lesser police forces dislike the idea; far more of the burden of surveillance and law enforcement will be falling on them after this.Darth Wong wrote:True enough. China is much worse than the US. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be upset at what they're doing in the US right now.Mr Bean wrote:However you want to find a place where Big Brother REALY IS?

This is a variation upon the "I was upset at having no shoes until I saw a man with no feet" story. It's true that it's worse to have no feet than no shoes, but at the same time, I want to have a fucking pair of shoes.

Like the russian programmer who got tossed into jail by the feds for 'hacking' a lame PDF protection routine, while not even BEING in the US, and even backed-up by laws that guarantee the right to fair use. What else could a law like this do? And judging by this, US law is enforced even outside the US because "the US ownz the world".
I wouldn't mind if virus makers and people who hacks into computers and damage them are put in jail, but the way stupid, computer-ignorant people in the US interpret laws any way they want, I'd hate a generic law like this to be enforced.

Watch carefully as the government aparatus quietly defines economic harm to include ripping DVDs, recording audio CDs, making backup copies of software, or otherwise doing things that the Associations of America feel undermine their right to rip off the public.Promise life terms for computer intrusions that “recklessly” put others’ lives at risk. A committee report accompanying the legislation predicts: “A terrorist or criminal cyberattack could further harm our economy
It's not my place in life to make people happy. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to watch me slaughter cows you hold sacred. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to have your basic assumptions challenged. If you want bunnies in light, talk to someone else.
Not its the Comparsion, in China they have the WILL, The RIGHT(Not even pretend voting there) and the ABILITY to play Big Brother and largley it does not work out so wellThis is a variation upon the "I was upset at having no shoes until I saw a man with no feet" story. Not because of the fact of Tecnology or whatnot, just thd diffucluty of keep and mantating a large Big Brother System to watch everyone and finding trustworthy people to run it, and the extreme costs if Mr Yang walks around poping cameras with a Pellet Gun
