The first one is mondo cool. The second one reminds of that painting by Giger in which the monks keep walking around the staircase forever.

Wasn't Giger and wasn't a paintingHemlockGrey wrote:The first one is mondo cool. The second one reminds of that painting by Giger in which the monks keep walking around the staircase forever.
It was either a lithograph or a woodcut by M.C. Escher.
It's quite possible that Giger could've done a similar image, though...

You just got to keep your eyes focused in the centre of the image. If you try to see a different spot every second, then it will seem like it's waving. Still, it's a cool illusion.Ace Pace wrote:Its waving about. The Yosemite Bear wrote:erm what does the one with the almonds do?

It's result of brain damage, I see out of both eye's independantly, so some effects are lost on me. Camoflauge patterns, 3d illusions, ones that expliot the interaction between the eyes...Ace Pace wrote:Its waving about. The Yosemite Bear wrote:erm what does the one with the almonds do?

Just try to stare at the upper left corner for a second and then change for the right upper corner. Do this repeatedly and you should see the picture waving.
If not, then my brain's definitely burned to bits, for this is how it works for me.

You can't tell apart Giger from Escher? Here's the easy way: Giger did aliens. Escher did Monks walking up stairs.Queeb Salaron wrote:Was that Giger or Escher? the first one almost made me sick. Awesome!
"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia
