I also think it´s a Venator, not Acclamator.
It is. You can see the brim notch. I didn't see any Republic cap ships save for the Venators.

There is only one thing missing from the trailer .... Dooku, Count.

He's there, you can see him duelling with Anakin somewhere on the trailer.

But be warned, the site is in German.
Thanks for the link. With what I already know about the trailer and my basic knowledge of German, the language barrier isn't really that much of a problem. SW actually reads pretty cool in German.

Interesting how in German "the Force" is "der Macht"... :)

Question:

About 40% into the trailer Palpatine says to Anakin, "I need your help..."

Did he say "sir" or did he say "son"?

Yeah that was an excellent moment, you could just feel the anger drip from every word. I bet when Mace head that he realized he didn't quite have enough jedi to take this old man into custody.

If there is anyone who could have impregnated Shmi without her remembering it, Darth Sidious would be at the top of the list. This would make Luke and Leia his grandchildren, and the biggest irony of all would be that the only (excluding EU) Jedi to survive the Empire would be thie offspring of the Sith themselves.

One wonders just how many children he sired over the years...

I dout it, I think more a "I'll treat you like a son" moment.

Doubtful. It seemed like a mere term of endearment to me.

No, there ARE one or two Acys in the background, you just have to know where to look.

That was my thought as well. Anakin sees Palpatine much like Luke sees Obi-Wan in ANH: an older, father-like figure that unlike prequel Obi-Wan and Uncles Owen, seems to care about them in their viewpoints.

Palpatine called Anakin "son" because he's an old man and Anakin is a young man. I wouldn't interpret it any further than that.

Heh...

Anyway, I'm checking through the trailer for Acclimators, and so far I've only found one possible blurry candidate at 1:02, although the bridge tower seems much too tall.

The one in the foreground next to Anakin's face, or towards the bottom right? They look like Venators to me.

The one closest to Anakin's head. And you're right. They're both Venators.

In fact, I've finished going through each battle shot frame by frame, and I can't see any Acclimators. They're all Venators.

Oh wow, I just saw the trailer! I must say I am completely stoked!! I love Palpatine and it is great to see him in all his poweful and deceitful splendor! "Are you threatening me Master Jedi?"

And like people have said before, ILM seems to have done a great job. From the teaser trailer, it still looked a bit too bright and not that finished. But from this trailer, it was dark and gritty.. if anything, they should get whoever did the editing on Saving Private Ryan to fuck with the colors to get it that real gritty look to it.

Yea, at 1:05 while Palpitine says "Learn to know the Dark Side of the Force and you'ill achieve a power greater than any Jedi."

You have to practically go through it frame by frame to recognize his face though. That's what I did when I was wondering who he was fighting in that scene.

Incidentally, what's Bail Organa doing and saying in his scene? He's holding onto something, an airspeeder I think, and shouting to someone beyond the camera...

That reminds me. Lucas hasn't done any big crazy revelations in this trilogy yet, has he? I can't think of any, unless of course you aren't paying attention and don't notice that Palpy is Sideous. Even then, it was never really hush-hush, and though it wasn't expressly revealed in Ep2, it's in the damn trailer for Ep3, so it doesn't count. I'm sure 'son' is just a term of endearment as well, I'm just wondering if there's anything else we're missing.
