I told you, I am a puddle of goop--I can't help that much of me is a hopeful romantic...... Sometimes it wins out over my sense of humour....IG-88E wrote:C'est jure=That hurts.

Just wanted to clear something up. On the first page of this thread, I wrote this about parents bitching about the Harry Potter books:
I just don't understand what the hell those parents are thinking, complaining like that.......
In actuality, the 4th HP book, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," weighs in at 734 pages and is about 2 inches thick. Eight-year-old kids were killing themselves to get their grubby paws on a copy when it first came out, totally unaffected by the size and length of the book.WHAT?!?!?!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! HP IS GETTING LITTLE KIDS TO READ 400-PAGE-BOOKS!! WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT?!!!!!

Killing themselves to get a copy of the book or being killed when it falls on their heads ?Zaia wrote:Just wanted to clear something up. On the first page of this thread, I wrote this about parents bitching about the Harry Potter books:

Why isn’t that ever an issue of politics? Because you don’t live in a democracy. You live in a plutocracy. Money rules.
