WHAT IF? What if JEDI never existed in STAR WARS?
Im new here and a beyond a geek with SW and ST geek. But as for SW read almost all the Books and seen the movies a million times a fact nerd etc... But my story later...
What if Jedi never had existed? As in there was NO force either.
Would Boba Fett come about? Because his dad wouldnt have died by Mace Windus Lightsaber and maybe Boba would have chosen a diffrent path? Maybe if his dad was alive Jango would be the best Bounty Hunter and boba would have always just been his helper?
What if jedi never existed along with the force?
What would be totaly diffrent? Would the empire be around? The alliance? What bounty hunters would be affected? What famous charecters? What species or battles would have been changed or may not have existed?
What if jedi never existed along with the force?
IM not gonna answer these because i want to see everyones opinions on what they think! So type away!

No force means no Palpy to create the Empire and build the DS1.
It also means no protectors for the fledgeling republic, but no sith to attack it.
I'm confused.....

Seconded. But I'll try speculating anyway, but not in the way asked for in the OP.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:My opinion is that there are too many variables and unknowns.
The Republic would have been harder to build. Assuming it eventually is formed, it would have been harder to hold together for 25+ millenia. The Jedi, even as rare as they are, were rather obviously a major factor in the Republic's ability to survive (one of the quickest ways to solve, or cause, a problem, afterall, has always been sending in a Force user).
My guess is that without the Force the Star Wars galaxy would be a galactic version of pre-World Wars Europe. Nothing more than a collection of nation-states in constant warfare with each other.
I am not getting any more specific than that, because erasing the Force makes Star Wars cease to be Star Wars. Any guesses I would make would only be to say what doesn't happen.

Yeah. On other boards people say no Star Wars. Dont think about in the sense of EMpire and Republic...etc.
I mean we have lots of information through novels and facts and stuff like that it stretches beyond a few races in the battle of fighting the empire and the trade federation and sith.
Well ok ill give my answer at least. Without Jedis or The Force everything would be a dreary intergalactic civilazation of planets and galaxies...etc.
There would still be some famous people like Jango Fett. Im positive on that one. Alderann would exist. Anakin would exist but he would just be some kid and wouldnt be in any stories.
The only Famous person would be Jango i guess. lol. Everything else is pretty much ....boring besides wars(compared to the star wars).

Assassin, you're a wierd one. And 'Jedi' REALLY, TRULY is both singular and plural. Don't use 'jedis' unless you're 8.
Without the Force, the nature of culture (and thus, over tens of thousands of years, almost everything) would be radically different. Anakin wouldn't exist - as he can't come from the Force. More to the point, without the known Jedi/Sith history, the major role the Force-users have played throughout history etc, I doubt the galactic scene would be even remotely similar. The Republic (which I doubt would have even been formed in its present sense) would have disintegrated long ago. Noone could use lightsabres in hand to hand, affecting military design. Humans couldn't use high-performance starfighters. There may indeed be no uniting movement without the common 'Force religion' of the Jedi, so the changes would be pretty damn sweeping.

2. Boba would never have existed as we know him, he only came about because Dooku (Jedi) hired Jango to make clones
3. going way back the Republic would never have been founded because the Empress Teta system may not have even been formed without the Jedi being there to help them establish it
4. Qui-Gon's words, medichlorians make up the force. "Without them life couldnt exist" , so there you go in the SW galaxy at least they need the force to exist

The Sith wars 25,000 years ago would never have happened.
It's possible the republic would never have formed, but lets just assume it did.
Without Palpy and his force influence, there is no Clone Wars, there is no Empire, there would be no Boba Fett because Jango would never get involved with Dooku and the cloning, there is no Rebellion, and the Republic keeps on going.
Then theres the other possibility that somebody without force powers pulls a Palpatine at some point and overthrows the republic (no jedi to worry about).
OR theres the possibility that, without Jedi to defend it, the Republic never dismantles its original military and remains militaristic, preventing any kind of civil war.
There's just too many variables to account for. Without the destruction of the original Sith wars, a lot of people will live that should have died, and have children that should never have been born, that will marry people that should have married others, and by the time we reach the time of the Prequels, not a SINGLE CHARACTER is the same person.

Bt the way seeing as how this is always the response i get should i just close this topic? Its kind of obvious i guess what happens with no jedi.

If I remember right, Jango chose to become a bounty hunter after Jaster Mereel, his adopted father who was a Mandalorian Supercommando, died at the hands of Jedi on Concord Dawn (I'm probably butchering this). Thus, if Jedi didn't exist, Jango would've never become a bounty hunter. Thus, without Jedi, Boba would've never been born. Irony at its finest.
Why wonder why? The answer is simple: obviously, someone somewhere decided that he or she needed Baby Jesus up the ass.

I usually say "Jedi" but sometimes say Jedis not thinking.
Technically these are both right:
"There are a bunch of Jedis in the room."
"There are a bunch of Jedi in the room."
I know in games everyone (including adults) calls them if theres more then one Jedis. It doesnt matter really because people still know what your saying unless the grammer/word freaks but JEDI is the proper term.

Then again, he did make these movies for 8 year olds, right...?

That Lucas uses the incorrect term "Jedis".NecronLord wrote:Which part do you dispute?Spanky The Dolphin wrote:No, he doesn't.
And if Kurgan comes back with some bullshit like "Oh, but Lucas said it once in this commentary/interview back in 1986 blah blah blah", he can go swallow his own cock.

Re: WHAT IF? What if JEDIS never existed in STAR WARS?
Perhaps if you specified a certain time period where the Force is non-existent, we could more accurately predict what would happen. Like say all Force users lose their powers at a certain point in time. What happens then? I'll get the ball rolling by proposing the following scenario:
Battle of Yavin. 30 Rebel X-Wings and Y-Wings are approaching the Death Star. The Force is now non-existent. What happens?
Does Vader manage to shoot down all of those Rebels? Does he even feel confident enough to fly? Do those extra fighters take down the DS before Luke does? Does Luke get his ass blown out of space?
More interesting, no?

i think humans are the dominant species in the galaxy, and i think it is because they are highly attuned to the force (not saying that other species aren't).
without the force, humans get smashed around, and no Republic ever forms. after all, the Jedi are the peace keepers to it.

Lets have two scenarios:
Scneraio 1:
Right on Geonosis where Yoda, Kenobi, Skywalker and Dooku were just as Dooku fled suddenly the force stops, dissapeared for whatever reason. From that point on it didnt exit anymore. What happens from this point on?
Scenario 2:
Luke is taken to llive with his Owen & Beru and Leia is taken to Alderaan to be raised by Viceroy Bail Organa. At that point the force stops, dissapeared for whatever reason. From that point on it didnt exit anymore. What happens from this point on?
