Unless you're talking Descent 3, I seriously doubt that would even be possible considering the limits on the previous two games' engine.

And just incase you're referring to Freespace, that game is in no way, shape, or form related to Descent other than the label. Freespace is a completely seperate universe. The only reason it had Descent in the title was because there was already a disk utility out called "Freespace", so Interplay slapped "descent" on the title to lure in the (at the time) large fanbase into buying the game.

There are still plenty of people that play Descent. Just hop on Kali sometime on the "-> Descent" server and see for yourself.
