I always thought it would have been great if they made really small version of the death stars Super Lasers... kind of like Space Turrets that were really mobile in space but still small enough that they can been moved quickly.
Look closely at the bubble-turrets on the Republic gunships in Attack of the Clones. Small enough for you?

Those arent Death Star lasers though, im pretty sure those lasers cant blow up a Mon Romanda :P

I mena something Pretty close to the power of the death star's laser but slightly smaller but big enough to destroy capital ships with 1 hit still.

Woo! Assasin X doesn't understand scale, AND thinks the SOV in Warlords doesn't have a functioning superlaser! I mean, its a *terrible* effect that causes horrible slowdown and isn't very powerful, but hey.

The Eclipse was a cool design, since it almost had a keel, and definately had traditional bows. The SOV was a piece of shit: a deformed pizza slice, or something.

Did you even WATCH the movie?

Exact same firing style, same beam, same result, ergo, its the Death Star laser. How hard is it to understand?

Same result? Uh, sort of... but it's nowhere near the same power level.

I suppose the main problem faced by the Death Star designers was in reliably scaling up the continuous-fire turbolaser to planet-destroying magnitudes. That at least would explain why it took them twentysomething years to finish the first Death Star.

The sovie reminds me of an athelete on steroids. Really fucked up steroids, that is.
Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.

Purely subjective. Believe it or not, there are people who like that poem.
