Why do some Jedi disappear?

Post by darthnidankendo »

I hope this hasn't been done to death. But, why is it that some Jedi desappear when they die and some of them do not?

It depends on how powerful they are. ;) That’s basically the entry trick behind it.

Great Jedi don't die...they just fade away...;)

According to some sources, I think it has to do with training and knowledge of the Force.

Possible spoiler:

Supposedly Yoda looks up the means to do this when faced with the extinction of the Jedi in ROTS...

Powerfull i am with the Force, but not that powerfull 8)
There is no emotion, there is peace,
there is no ignorance, there is knowledge,
there is no passion, there is serenity,
there is no death, there is the Force

Fear is the path to the Dark Side,
fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate...
hate leads to suffering
