I think its the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons, or it could be one of the WotC rpg sources, either the core worlds guide, or the Starships of the Galaxy guide. Also, the NJO book that talks about Fondor implies it, considering it says Fondor's yards are smaller than Kuat's yet they surround at least every inner planet and have mined a significant enough portion of one of their moons to show a noticeable chunk missing. Also, in the Starships of the Galaxy rpg source they say Kuat has thousands of slips, I forget the exact number and I don't have it with me at the moment. I estimated based on their info that in a year Kuat could build something like 1 SDN and a few hundred SDs minimalist I know. I'll have to look at it tonight.Stofsk wrote:Where is that stated? IIRC, IronFist claims, that the shipyards of Kuat suround the entire system out to the fourth planet.
There are at least two slips for Star Dreadnoughts, since in IronFist the Razor's Kiss is under construction as well as the Eclipse (which is only brought to the deep core AFTER NR-forces "liberate" Kuat).
XaFel would be one of those poorer local governments. According to DFR-SB 20% of the hyperdrive-motivators used by KDY are build there.

2 Star Dreadnaughts, 1 Eclipse and several hundred star destroyers? Is is impressive for EU minilism, but WAAAAY to little for a shipyard that covers all of the inner planets. They shouldn't have a problem building tens of thousands of ships in one year.

I'm sure they can build a lot more, but you also have to consider, that there has to be somebody, who pays for all those ships. Already one year after the battle of Endor the Empire has lost much of the outer rim, the CorporateSector and we have a dozen warlords running around. Clone-Palpatine messing around with his wanne-be-successors certainly wasn't limited to recall ships, too.
