Nice grin there on Teal'c when Daniel's talking about how they can all go now... "now that Anubis' gone, the Replicators are gone--" and he's just got this huge grin on his mug standin' back there...

Kinda sad about Catherine being gone, though. But I suppose it was kinda inevitable... this being second to last season and all.

Considering that this season is the season after the last season going by the original plan, I have my doubts about the show being cancelled in the near future.

It looks a bit frosty and we finally get to see the rear of the series gate, which has the track. The movie gate didn't.

McKay said they were in Lagrange points. Assuming that the Atlantis planet is Earth-sized, we could find some figures on the puddlejumper's max acceleration. The satellite is likely at the L1 or L2 point. The jumper would have accelerated half the way, then decelerated the other half.

Wasn't there a planet near the satellite? The one with the sandy terrain in episode 'The Defiant One'? That would imply the satellite was either in a nearby system, or there's a Earthlike planet in the Atlantis system....

Fascinating. Though I must say, I was expecting there to be some dead thing hooked on the tether when Mackay started reeling it in... guess that's been too many bad space horror movies. Ah well.

And I must concur with Ford-- why not give the planets names? Sure, numerical designations might work, but names would just plain be better... *shrugs*

It wasn't in a nearby system because puddlejumpers don't go FTL.

Ah but we had Daniel asking the same question in the third episode of SG-1 season one. I don't remember what Carter's answer was, but it made sense. Also, they have been to a bunch of planets, bet they'd run out of names quick. I guess it might be better to ask any hospitible natives what they call their planets and then call it then.

What was up with the planet, then? and IIRC the jumper came out of one of those orbital Stargates, though I could be confusing that with the title sequence...
