Gabe Newell, Peter Molyneux, Warren Spector, John Carmack, Will Wright, Cliff Blezinski, John Romero, American McGee.

All of these dudes have been at (or near) the center of the pc game industry's attention at one point or another.

Years ago, people swooned whenever Romero opened his mouth on Daikatana. Then people lost faith as delays happened, and when the game finally shipped, people nearly lost their balls as they howled in grief.

Black and White turned out to be a mediocre game, but it certainly didn't seem that way before it shipped, judging by how many people and publications were stroking Molyneux's cock on a monthly basis. The PvP webcomic has a love affair with this guy, jesus.

I liked most of Will Wright's games, but I'm not bending over to take his cock up my ass because of Spore.

I think you would probably find that most gamers would more readily give you a list of game developers they'd like to beat up rather than fellating them.
