A Nova or Oberth would *just* fit.

An ISD doesn't need to pull in a ship to capture it, just clobber the ships shields, slap a tractor beam on it and send over the shuttles and Zero G Stormies, or regular Stormies. I really wouldn't want to pull in any enemy ship, because they may overload the reactors or self destruct just for spite.

An ISD could possibly nab a D7 with the bay's docking claw, if it could grab the narrow end of the boom and manipulate itself at the required angle to leave what wouldn't fit dangling outside the bay....that's a pretty unsubstantiated if, though.

Slice it down to bits for a more effective storage and you can fit a Galaxy Class in.

What about turning the ship corner-to-corner?

I think most Trek ships are too wide for this to make much of a difference.

'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'

'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Maybe the giant pincer thing can extend, so dragging the ship ito the gallery isn't necessary.

Indeed, I remember writing a fanfic with a captive ship loosing off a few photons into the docking bay when being pulled in. Killed lots of crewers, not much else though. Still, best to keep it outside.
