Taskmanager, HJT not opening, and other woes
^^ Pretty much what the title says. I can't figure out for the life of me whats going on. (Yes, I've run my whole gamut of anti-spyware and virus progs)
Also, when the taskmanager WAS working, I saw rundll32.exe running, sucking up 98 percent of my cpu power. Ending it does no harm, so I suspect its a trojan or virus running out of the rundll32 directory, but I cant remove it. Any clue whats going on?

You've got a Problem. I'm pretty certain you're probably gonna have to reinstall Windows entirely. Not fun... but it's essential. Sorry...
EDIT:
As I said in the chat. Unless someone with better knowledge here than I comes along, you're screwed. Sorry.
Have a very nice day...

You got a problem known as the stupid windows syndrome. In SWS, you get varying degrees of stupidty which require a full reinstall. Repairing doesn't work. The steps you must take are:
1)Back up all files which you want to keep on cd or on the network if you have one
2)Reformat the drive. (This is vital to ensure everything that caused SWS is gone)
3)Reinstall windows.
Anything less than 2 and 3 is going to cause a reoccur of the problem. I've had 2-3 cases of SWS at my job with the exact symptoms you said. With the tools I had, I couldn't get it to be fixed. Often times with windows, its simpliar to just start over than to try to determine which cause of SWS made your machine crapped up.

Try this for me will you?
Open the task manager and select view and check the PID (Process identifier)
Check what PID rundll32.exe has
Type this in a command window.
netstat -ano
Do rundll32 connect to the internet?
If so then I am affraid that you have
A Nasty worm

If taskmanager isnt working, try running "cmd.exe"(Not command.com), and then invoking tasklist to get a list of processes.
You can kill stuff by using taskkill using wildcards based on exe name and other properties. It is also posible to kill the highest memory/CPU time using process too.

Sadly, after another restart and attempt to try remedying my comp, it became quite unstable, to the point where almost every prog I ran froze, so I did a complete reinstall, without any problems occuring. Now to reinstall my 30 gigs of games....
