Yeah, me too. That was sweet :D

For those who have seen 23; they showed a "on the next episode" clip of Coruscant being invaded. To you who have seen this: How did the seperatists get past Coruscant's shield? Was there ANY mention of this? Or was it like Coruscant had no shield?

It takes a full FOUR MONTHS for a Republic bombardment to take down the defense shields of a CITY!!

Yeah seriously. I noticed that too and was like WTF?!

Maybe it's only against ground force level weapons and the Republic can't spare any ships at the time? That's the best theory I can come up with.

To be fair, they were using ground based weaponry, not capital ship weaponry.

That and I think it was more of a military base, not just a city.

Though I loved the Seperatist Commander's reaction at the begining of this one

"The Republic will never take this fortress! It will take at least 50 Jedi to do it! A whole Army of Jedi!"

Droid: The Repuiblic are coming sir

"How Many Jedi? 1000?"

Droid: No sir

"100 Jedi? 50? 40? Come on, Tell me"

Droid: Two Jedi Sir

"Give me that!" -eye twitch and the "aahh fuck" look on his face-

And Anakin and Obi's scene just before they take out the shield generator, with the "lunch"

"You always told me to feed on the living force"

Well that partly explains Greivous' badassitude with a lightsaber.. he's bring trained by Dooku. IIRC isn't Dooku's saber style one focused more around countering other lightsabers than blasters?

Perhaps the city had planetary-grade shields but had reduced it to cover only the city- that would explain it.

Depends on how many ships you have present. Remember that the Hoth shield in TESB was impervious to bombardment by Death Squadron (which had at least 5-8 ISDs, at least one VSD, numerous "attack frigates" and other escorts) and the Executor.)

Well, it appears to be just a surprise attack, one minute we see Yoda Meditating peacefully then all of a sudden he opens his eyes and stands up real quick, while the curtens of the room go up and we see a shit load of Trade Fed landing ships and what not out of the window.

Episode III & Chapter 23 Spoilers -->Seeing how Palpatine wants to get captured so that Anakin can get back from that cat people planet in time to save him (thats a bit of assumtion, but it makes sense), it wouldn't surprise me if they just didn't have the planetary active because Palpatine would argue it was unnessecary. Even when he's being told to get to the shelter he resists, so I don't see him exactly arguing for the sheild to go up when there was no immediate threat.

I liked the part where Obi-Wan solves the problem without giving an actual fight: just throw those small bombs and basically everything's over.

I just finished watching Chapter 21 on CartoonNetwork.com, and thought overall that it was very good.

It seems that they're spending more time producing these Volume II chapters than they did on the ones for Volume I. In general the image and animation quality seems much better, and the fifteen minute runtime improves the pacing a lot when you compare it to the run-together version of Volume I. Both these reasons makes me wish that they did the same approach with Volume I...

just watched 21 und 22 on hyperspace and i think the vens are more and more turning into monstercruisers. ;(

and clone wars have become lot's better, now they acutally have a storyline, not just random fighting like the older ones.

Gah, access to Chapter 22 hasn't taken effect yet for me... :(

Also, I'll take this opertunity to add that I'm glad to see a hell of a lot less of the Samurai Jackisms that plagued Volume I.

Like teh first season Clone Wars vol 2 kicks ass. I love the anime-like action scenes and i like how it makes the Jedi and Sith (and Clones and Droids) seem far mroe bad ass then in the films.

Who says it's over exagerating? :)

The Chosen One indeed. Somebody was kicking far more ass then before. But damn if Anakin isnt still a pussy little dick. "You're no Qui-Gon Jin! I'm the Chosen One! I want my bottle, get it for me Yoda!" I guess as Vader he didnt have the time to whine cause he had to regulate his breathing instead

Something that struck me as interesting, remember when Anakin was walking on Coruscant and looking back at those aliens following him...am i the only one who felt the utter hate coming off this guy? I mean it's probably cause his mommy was killed by some aliens, and it kinda jives the latter Empire's seeming anti-alien policy.

He was looking over his shoulder at the alien things with this look like "You dirty fucking (insert racial slur)"...it was i think a nod towards the guy's later actions, knowing the Empire wasnt exactly a fandom of aliens.

So, without mentioning any spoilers, it seems as if it ties in nicely with Labyrinth of Evil.

I haven't read Labyrinth of Evil, could you tell me how it ties in nicely? And by all means, spoil away.

It´s interesting to see the primary warship in the Separatist fleet sent to Coruscant is the Trade Fed Cruiser. There must have been thousands at the start (when Saasee Tiin and his fighters get into space). By the time the movie opens, there appears to be only Grievous´cruiser left (as far as I can tell), being backed up by smaller ships and the donut battleships. Man, what a battle!

Yea, should be good, still got Chapter 24 and 25 to go, so there should be some nice space battling going on, sadly we didn't get Chapter 24 today, we just got a repeat of 22/23, oh well, 24 AND 25 tomorrow! Saasee Tiin is so cool in 23 though, "General Tiin, the ship is lost" "Then it's time to get a new one!" :D

Get Ch. 24 when you can, it´s good from beginning to end. Everything from Grievous chasing Palpatine and Shaak-Ti to Anakin´s mythical journey and discoveries is pure gold. You even get to see Wat Tambor and the Magnaguards in action.

Episode 23 was awesome, but some stuff about Mace Windu really bothered me (I recorded it with PVR so after I got over the initial "OMG DAT EPISODE IS TEH AW3S0M3!!!!", I watched it a few times and noticed some things).

Firstly, the droid thing. Controlling a droid by tugging the wires? I'll forgive it since it's obviously just taking this stuff from modern action movies.

But here's where I get to the annoying stuff.

Firstly, there were a COMPLETE lack of shields.

Coruscant's shield. Where was it? Did Palpy disable it?
The fighters' shields. How did Mace Windu jump on them and lightsaber slice-n-dice them? He should have bounced off their shields. Why were fighters destroyed by crashing into tiny Droidekas Yoda held in the air?
The cruisers' shields. When the Clone troopers jumped ship they should have slammed into the shield of the ship they were boarding.

I can forgive Coruscant (assume that the Republic did not expect the attack and had the shield down, or Palpy had someone sabotage it). I can forgive the cruisers (they could have chosen a target missing shields). But why didn't ANY fighters have any freakin' SHIELDS???

Next, Mace Windu's tactics.

You're riding on the back of an enemy fighter when a missle is homing in. You can:
A) Jump off the fighter and land somewhere.
B) Use the force to crush and pre-detonate the missle.
C) Redirect the missle with the force.

So Mace Windu uses C. Obvious choice, right?

Except one thing- this is in the middle of a POPULATED CITY! He redirects the concussion missle into what appears to be a RESIDENTIAL BUILDING! He likely killed a number of innocent civilians hiding in their homes by doing that!

But Yoda totally rocked :D

That space jump and the clone commander scenes made my brain nearly explode from all of the goodness forced into it. :)
Why wonder why? The answer is simple: obviously, someone somewhere decided that he or she needed Baby Jesus up the ass.

You notice the Vader mask appearing in the wall paintings while he's tripping? And yea, the chase is pretty cool, I loved how Shaak-Ti got rid of Grevious by tying his cape to the elevator thing, he could have whooped her ass in a duel, yet because he had to do his "You will leave this world, Jedi" speach, she got the drop on him... badguys are so dumb...
