Roddy McDowall- Love watching him work. He is still in-character even off to the side, when the focus of the scene isn't on him.

I like both of them, but I wouldn't say that they are *great* people of their craft. I mean I enjoy there work, but it's not up to Cate's level (by the way if no one has noticed yet, I am literally in love with Cate Blanchette), or Sir Ian McKellen's or Ewan McGregor's or Sean Bean's or, well you get what I mean.

Maybe not so, but they are still early in their trade. I think they'll get bigger. What's nice about Drew is that she has so many diefferent styles.

I thought of another one; Kate Winslet. After the piece of puke that was shiTANIC, she comes back with aces in Quills. But that was with Geoffery Rush, who is an unbelievable genius. Honourable mention to Jaquine Phoenix, who also was amazing in that movie!

Oh, John Cusak! No one gets angry like John!

And Cameron Diaz, see A life less ordinary but again she was playing agains Ewan which is hard to fuck up.

But what am I waiting for to happen the most? Nicole Kidman getting an Oscar before Tom! Nicole being the only woman who could tempt me away from Cate!

I watched both Vanilla Sky and the original Stargate movie on DVD the other night, and later, watched them again with the audio commentaries. Both directors said that he the most underrated actor in Hollywood. I thought about it, and then went back and compared his performances. He truly is an amazing actor. Especially in Stargate, there were some parts where he only lifted and eyebrow or nodded his head, saying volumes without opening his mouth.

[ramble]The audio commentary for Stargate was rather boring "see those rocks? we worked really hard to make them look like rocks."
OTOH, the Vanilla Sky commentary is hilarious. Cameron Crowe is hanging out with his wife, Nancy Wilson, and he just chats about the movie. All the while, his kids and dog come running in and out, making noise, and he even calls Tom Cruise and flips him shit. Pretty funny [/ramble]
