This game actually allows you to hurl cute(kinda) little puppies around(not to mention cutting them in half or stomping on their heads), yet it also manages to not let you feel one iota of guilty pleasure, disgust, psychotic glee, or anything else you might associate with the act.

This may have something to do with the fact that there are so damn many of them, and in a few seconds, they're gonna start turning into 12-foot-long slavering, three-headed, fire-breathing Hell-hounds.

Wait... so the objective of this game is to kill puppies before they turn into monsters? :wtf:

Either that... or they turn into monsters after you kill them... who then work for you? Considering its name is God of War, I wouldn't be greatly surprised...
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Just puppies...? That doesn't sound like a very involved game...

Bleh, I can't go there, and I don't think my manger would like it if I used our lab machine to browse gaming websites ;)

Lets put it this way.. you get to fight great bloody huge monsters like the Hydra in some truly spectacular looking battles. Much raving has been done on the combo system, it's got some puzzle and platform elements.

Hell lets just say it kicks ass and leave it at that.

Or you could always check the video out whenever you get to a more appropriate place to do so.

Rented it.. loving it. The opening fight with the Hydra is incredibly bad-ass.

And I am so waiting for the Think of the Children! Brigade to get a look at this one. Ultra-violence, AND exposed boobs together in one package? I can practically hear their heads exploding.

And here I thought you'd be going for the minigame at the beginning of the Athens level.

Just beat the game a few days ago. The bosses in this game are so good, you wish there were more of them.

Somehow I think they'll actually ignore it in favour of one of the following:

1. A game that's 2-3 years old.
2. A game that won't be released for another year or so.
3. A game which sucks so much that nobody plays it.
4. A game that isn't even available in the US.

They've done all four before, especially Numbers One and Three...

More like 6-9 years old, with people STILL harping on Doom, Doom1, not 3, 1!.

Exactly!!

Maybe if they actually followed what people played (which also ties into the shitty games aspect) and in-game contexts, they could be a little more effective in their cause.

Amazon says June 24.

The BBFC seem to be getting first look though.

Damnit! First the US get's all the decent films like Sin City before us and now they're getting what by reputation is a game made by Kickassos the Ancient Greek god of "3133t pwnage" months before us as well!
