Durge vs. one of Grevious's guard droids

Post by Adam Reynolds »

people said that Grevious would esaily kill Durge so I thought that this was more of a fair fight

I think the guard droid could probably win but Durge could recover and possibly win

Don't do versus threads when one or both of the opponents is from something that hasn't come out yet.

*points at the latest clone wars ep* We see the Magna-guards in combat there. You also see them in Republic commando.

Actually, today's Clone Wars Episode, Chapter 24, showed 6 of the bodyguards- 4 get taken out by Jedi during the course of the fight.

They're skilled, but the tips of their batons are too short to cut off significant chunks of durge. They can probably do damage by spinning the batons, but they'll probably lose.

Who's Durge?
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! He's a bounty hunter turned Separatist commander. You can read about him at StarWars.com's databank, and see him in the Clone Wars shorts and comics.

Clone Wars SPOILERS

The shorts show that he's extremely strong and durable. He was seen driving a lance into the front part of an AT-TE, lifting part of the vehicle up. During his fight with Obi-Wan, he was able to swing a speeder bike as if it was a hand to hand weapon. Durge survived being hacked into pieces by a lightsaber, and was able to put his body back together. Later, he withstood fire from numerous blaster rifles, as well as a missile. With his armor blown off, he was revealed to be an amorphous shape-changing alien. Obi-Wan blew him into tiny pieces with the Force, but even then he wasn't killed for good.

Durge finally meets his end, when Anakin launches Durge's escape pod into a star.

Yeah, if you watch the next episode he's sorta a giant monster that can stretch to insane proportions and can easily take blaster bolts.

I do have the DVD I thought it was a nice change of pace that the clone troopers actually fulfilled a useful function somewhat in fighting him.
