I think this would make some cool artwork on some album cover or inlay or something...sort of reminds me of the stuff you'd get in an eyehategod inlay.

Copied the eyes, killed all the colour in the other layer. Then I played around with the levels and saturation until I got a bit of a pseudo glow, and put in more yellow and red. Then I did a very slight neon glow, but negative, so it put a bit of a dark edge around the eyes.
