Merchandising!!!

Post by Crossroads Inc. »

You know what I’m talking about! Toys, action figures, video games. We all know StarWars has tons of this stuff, but what are some of things never made that you would gladly shell out money for?

For me? Ship Models!

Yea, the ability to build your own scale modle of a ISD, or a Corellian Corvette, Oh I always wanted one of those, 15 years ago you could get a model of practically anything, now, practically nothing.

1/1000 scale ISD *drool*

hmm... for that matter, 1/1000 scale ESD. Yes, I know that's 17 meters...

fine, 1/10000 scale ESD, it'll fit in my room.

1/100 scale X-wing and TIEs

The micro-machines... huge fleet battles! :P Granted the scaling was all wrong, but that didn't matter, it was still great.

And for a time the action figures, but that stopped.

Oh and the games of course. Everything from Battlefront to the upcoming Empire at War game I would gladly spend money on.

they did and do have star wars model kits. but the last time I saw one of those larger ones was 1996, and it was a B-Wing. it was 1/35th scale (or close).

currently if you want to spend $50 (US) on a 1/72nd scale jedi starfighter or x-wing I know where to find em. they're japanese imports.

also there is an old model shop where i live called Lightship Hobbies that has old models but ive never searched their 'museum'.

I've got a soft spot for the Lego kits. I've had one ever since I got a lot for graduating high school.

Die-cast ship models

Yeah, kids love those. Though they're not as common as STAR WARS: THE PLACEMAT.

But in all seriousness, I'd really like them to make little cell phones shaped like comlinks. :D

Supposedly the Revell of Germany RotS kits won't be available in the US. Surely someone will have them imported. Right?

Oh no no! your kidding? One of the biggest reasons I have been waiting for EP-III was because I heared all of the old Ship Modles would be re-relased! *crosses fingers and hopes*
