So the Eta-2 has ion cannons ... interesting. Maybe that's whats used to short out the shields of the hangar?

Anyway- there's got to be somthing on BDZ in there, somewhere, surely.

Vymp, seriously, give it up. You have it in the AotC ICS, so that should be enough. :P

You just need to be a fan, Vympel, don't be a whore. :P

Are you that hopeful of it's use or it being mentioned? We have had tons of leaks of the movie and extra material and thier has been no mention of a DBZ, Any perticular reason your hopes are so high for this?

To have it finally shown on film as an ISD or lesser vessel wipes out the surface of a planet on it's own would be the icing on the cake - especially as this is the last film.

Thanks loads, Sarge.

Edit: Hyperdrive booster rings - Hyperdrive working in tandem with stasis fields as per SWTC is now canon!

Even with the announced TV series, if they were to show BDZ carried out, it probably wouldn't faze the trektards. "We only use the movies, so there!" would be the excuse.

EDIT: Yes, thanks a million for the images!

So are the droid bombers crewed by any droids, or are they actually droids themselves?

Read the text in the first img he put up for the droid gunship - it has no crew only an integrated droid brain.

Says there, it's crewed by a droid brain.

There's always some BDZ bullshit artist who could use some more evidence to ram down his throat :)

No, not in the movie, just a general blurb on it in the ROTS ICS. There was one in the AOTC ICS, so I was hoping for more.

Since I don't have the OT ICS, does it give a range for the Imperator class? 60,000 ly seems really short-legged for the Venator. Unless they're based out in or near the Outer Rim, that implies they rely a lot on tanker support to get around.

It should be pretty fucking obvious that they use viewports. ISDs don't even have bridge windows, but they sure look like they do from the inside.

"Free Dac Volunteers"? Isn't Dac the original name for Mon Calamari? The Recusants were made by Mon Cals?

In the novelization the Hand is under attack by three carrack cruisers and a dreadnaught, and that's what brings it's shields down. I guess we'll see what happens in the move, since the carracks and dreadnaught are most likely off-camera.

Really??? So Carracks and Dreadnaughts are (sorta) Cannon via novelization?

That's right.

Someone wanna do a calc on blast-melting an ice-moon 1,000km in diameter? It's right on the same page.

Quote/proof? I would not expect even those craft all in concert to be able to disable a Proficient-class destroyer. Maybe in addition to the Venator seen attacking it in the trailer.

I knew there'd be some firepower figures.

According to the Asteroid calculator, melt energy for an ice asteroid 1000 km in diameter is 6.620*10^7 gigatons.

I guess the Dreadnaughts are from the Rendili fleet as shown in the Dark Horse Comics Republic series recently.
