Someone on TFN has the ICS- extracts, no firepower- spoiler?
Moderator: Vympel
So the Eta-2 has ion cannons ... interesting. Maybe that's whats used to short out the shields of the hangar?
Anyway- there's got to be somthing on BDZ in there, somewhere, surely.

Vymp, seriously, give it up. You have it in the AotC ICS, so that should be enough.
You just need to be a fan, Vympel, don't be a whore.

Are you that hopeful of it's use or it being mentioned? We have had tons of leaks of the movie and extra material and thier has been no mention of a DBZ, Any perticular reason your hopes are so high for this?Vympel wrote:Anyway- there's got to be somthing on BDZ in there, somewhere, surely.

To have it finally shown on film as an ISD or lesser vessel wipes out the surface of a planet on it's own would be the icing on the cake - especially as this is the last film.Crossroads Inc. wrote:Are you that hopeful of it's use or it being mentioned? Even with the announced TV series, if they were to show BDZ carried out, it probably wouldn't faze the trektards. "We only use the movies, so there!" would be the excuse.
EDIT: Yes, thanks a million for the images!

Read the text in the first img he put up for the droid gunship - it has no crew only an integrated droid brain.Techno_Union wrote:So are the droid bombers crewed by any droids, or are they actually droids themselves?

Gah, skipped over that. I seem to be chalk full of mistakes today.Rob Wilson wrote:Read the text in the first img he put up for the droid gunship - it has no crew only an integrated droid brain.Techno_Union wrote:So are the droid bombers crewed by any droids, or are they actually droids themselves?

No, not in the movie, just a general blurb on it in the ROTS ICS. There was one in the AOTC ICS, so I was hoping for more. Are you that hopeful of it's use or it being mentioned? It should be pretty fucking obvious that they use viewports. ISDs don't even have bridge windows, but they sure look like they do from the inside.Firefox wrote:There are bridge viewports, from the looks of it! They wrap around the front of the pod. In that case, either they rely on viewscreens for viewing to port, or they're blind to that side.

In the novelization the Hand is under attack by three carrack cruisers and a dreadnaught, and that's what brings it's shields down. I guess we'll see what happens in the move, since the carracks and dreadnaught are most likely off-camera.Vympel wrote:So the Eta-2 has ion cannons ... interesting. Quote/proof? I would not expect even those craft all in concert to be able to disable a Proficient-class destroyer. Maybe in addition to the Venator seen attacking it in the trailer.gladius wrote:In the novelization the Hand is under attack by three carrack cruisers and a dreadnaught, and that's what brings it's shields down. I guess the Dreadnaughts are from the Rendili fleet as shown in the Dark Horse Comics Republic series recently.Crossroads Inc. wrote:Really???
