Seems to ruin, in porn anyway, the whole "girl next door" thing though. They look good on the right people, but on some, they just look stupid and out of place. The other week I remember looking at some porn and the girl had the Thundercats logo tattooed on her ankle and, after I stopped laughing, I thought it just looked odd and she would probably been better without it.

Well, and then there's the whole thing about girls with tats on the small of their back, or on the ankles...

Well, a lot of it is where they chose to get the tat and what it is. Tattoos are like clothing--different colors and styles (and locations) work for different people. For example, the lower back tattoo only really works if she's got a fairly narrow waist.

I think the best designs are small, simple, and monochrome, and on the shoulderblade or ankle. I can't imagine one of those not looking good on virtually anyone, unless it's a hideous drawing.

Usualy it's not so much that they don't look good with tattoos, it's just that it seems to detract from the innocent young girl thing some chicks have going.

Still rather rare over here I must say, my GF almost had one on the lower back, glad she didn't because everyone has those on TV.

Heh. Yeah. Corduroy. Who wears THAT anymore?

I have one between the ol' shoulder blades. I'll see if I can get a pic up in the near future. Had one, then the hd took a nose-dive and I lost it. I think it's kinda snazzy. And I'm in the market for a new one. Check out the new thread I posted.

Tattoes on the lower back are dangerous for women who want kids, around a month back a TV station did a report on it, citing that when in labour, some women recive a painkiller(or something) in the lower back to help with childbirth, and if theres a tattoe, it drives the ink into the body, resulting in an infection...

Zac, awesome Tat, thinking about getting an Imperial symbol or something, but I'm kinda afraid what will happen in 50 years...

You know, there was another idea I had, a pentagram in the same place, and on the other arm a cross.

Designed a tattoo, used photoshop and cobbled together this, unfortunately it's not a very high quality picture, which sucks :(

I'd even call it work in progress so far, I am going to modify the cross more, sharpen the edges for one.

And again I am ressurecting old threads but isn't it better than making a new one just for this?

Ahahah, I was looking around to see if I could find the kind of tribal tattoo I've thought about getting, but look what I found instead!

Thing Two

Hehehe... 8)
Thing One wont work for me :(
Thing Two is just tacky IMO :P

EDIT: I just realised this thread is old  don't mind me...

But to answer Ace, it's called an epidural and the long needle goes into the spinal fluid but can be inserted above of below the tattoo depending one where it is, it's not like the needle has to go in in a certain spot and if their tattoo is so large they can't get an epidural then tough shit for them. There are other ways of alleviating the pain of childbirth as well, it's just that the epidural is the most effective for most women. For me it only helped for half my body, it was weird I could feel the contractions on my left side but not my right side. The next time I had a child it worked for me but not for long. It's the most popular cause it works the best but it doesn't even work that well.
