It installs just fine, but as soon as you go to load it up, screen flickers black for a second and then comes up with a bunch of dull flickery shades of grey and a thin blue line running from top to bottom on the left side of the screen.
Anybody ever have a problem like this? Even with other games or programs? Ive tried installing it from 3 different CD's and giving it the 1.06 patch and its the same problem no matter what.
Granted its an old game and its not that important, but it is frustrating nonetheless. Every other game I have works great thus far.

If you have windows xp or 2000 (you have to go through hoops though) I'd suggest you try compatability mode. Right click the .exe file. Go to properties then compatability. Select windows 95 or 98 and checkbox anything else the game might run better under. 1/2 of my favorite games run fine doing this.
Beware Windows. Linux Comes.

lol I think I found out whats wrong. In main directory their is now a "failure.txt" file and it says that Dune 2000 requires a video card that can display in 256 colours. Lo and behold my new Radeon X700 Pro can go no lower than 16bit. Thanks ATI
