I'm just curious, for anyone who knows, but where does the info that Han Solo was a former Imperial come from originally (sources)?
And if possible, post any relevant quotes. Thanks!

I found that citation myself, and I'd expect that maybe some things are mentioned in Brian Daley's Han Solo Trilogy, both which are pre-1980, I think.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

A.C. Crispins Solo Trilogy, the second novel The Hutt Gambit, there's some mention in there about how he was kicked out of the Imperial Academy for saving Chewie, iirc.

Yeah, but that series came out around the mid 1990s, far after the fact was established. Kurgan is asking about where the idea originally came from.

'97 I think. My bad, misread, thought he was asking for info in general.

Corellian Bloodstripes, don’t point at imperial service, they are given to Corellians for doing something great in general, Solo got them twice, as far as I know we don’t know for what one of them was given, but the other one had something to do with him being are very good blaster wilder.
Spanky is right.
Wasn’t it already mentioned in the Han Solo’s Adventures novels that he was a former Imperial? When an old Imperial academy pilot trainer of his, hocked up with him, to find the old Xim treasure? Those books were from 1979-1980 btw.
Edit: spelling, mention of Spanky

Yes, that's right. I wonder why it slipped my mind. Badure, wasn't it? He used to call Han "Slick" in his Academy days.Gorefiend wrote:Wasn’t it already mentioned in the Han Solo’s Adventures novels that he was a formerIimperial, when an old Imperial academy pilot trainer of his, hocked up with him, to find the old Xim treasure?
