Did Obi-Wan have to many bong hits?

Post by darthnidankendo »

It seems to me that in RotJ while Obi-Wan and Yoda arer speaking as Luke is leaving; Obi-Wan says "That boy is our only hope" What did he happen to forget that Amidala poped out a girl, whom they gave to Bail to care for until the right time?

That's ESB, not ROTJ... Yoda was *dead* by the time Luke left in ROTJ. Get your movie facts straight... :P

Perhaps he didn't think Leia would work. So that'd make Luke the only hope even considering Leia.

Agreed. Remember, Leia didn't even know she was a Skywalker at the time; there was nobody left to train her as well. Obi-wan and Yoda were both effectively dead. So unless Leia ran into a Jedi or two who had survived the purges, she'd continue as she was, marrying Han, probably dying in combat against the Empire.
