Look at that- Republic Assault Gunboat? Acclamator II-class Assault Ship?

Sorry, just have to went about that.
And I also see the Tantive IV issue coming up for the third time in three weeks or so. Let´s just say it got a refit inbetween ROTS and ANH, like the Enterprise between TOS and TMP.
Yes, that has also been hinted by over at the OS, but that doesn't account for some of the discrepancies seen. However, the trailer CG version looks correct.VT-16 wrote:And I also see the Tantive IV issue coming up for the third time in three weeks or so. Is it possible the people making the VD took a "work in progress" model and textured it with correct texture and that's why there's an incorrect model in the VD (there's untextured (aka "work in progress") model of Tantive IV in the Art of Revenge section and it looks like the VD model.)

Yes, I believe this to be the case as well. I stay clear of the leaked stuff though.Lord Revan wrote:Is it possible the people making the VD took a "work in progress" model and textured it with correct texture and that's why there's an incorrect model in the VD (there's untextured (aka "work in progress") model of Tantive IV in the Art of Revenge section and it looks like the VD model.)

Webdoc #16, focusing on Hayden Christensen and "going to the dark side" just came out- it's quite good and a bit sentimental.

Go to MF.com for some snazzy behind the scenes-book scans. Man, seeing Sidious without his cloak freaks me out! It´s like someone poured acid on his head! Not to mention Vader deep-fried....
There´s also nice pics of a green-striped YT-1300 freighter and what I guess to be Padme´s funeral, which is a massive scene. City-blocks are filled with people and the surrounding lakes have dozens of boats with onlookers in them. Seems to be a massive mausoleum in the middle of the frame, awesome scale and realism.
Another thing is how dismal and hostile everything looks in this film, every scene is either grey and cloudy, fiery red or cloaked in shadows. Nice to see it all end on three planets with relatively fresh colors, Naboo, Tatooine and Alderaan.

I continue to emphasize he doesn't look as frail or as gaunt as his form in ROTJ was. He seems much broader, fuller, and stronger in ROTS, despite his superficial disfigurement.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Hoodless Palpatine looks cool.

Yes, but still, I don't think that the people ready to throw out the contribution of his Dark Side decay to his aging have sufficient grounds.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Well, we are talking about a difference of about 25 years.
I do not think that ROTJ Palpatine would be sufficiently agile or able to pursue an intense lightsabre duel.

It's still perfectly viable, but Palpy's getting pretty old, it could just be natural aging that makes him thinner and frailer.Illuminatus Primus wrote:

We can't possibly know that. Yoda looked pretty damn frail in all the films, and he manages kick ass fights in AotC and RotS by calling on the Force. There's no reason to think that Palps couldn't do that if he wanted to.I do not think that ROTJ Palpatine would be sufficiently agile or able to pursue an intense lightsabre duel.

I agree. I'm a bit appalled at the acting. Natalie Portman's firt ever line in an Episode III trailer was dissapointing, and Hayden's performance is beginning to pay homage to AOTC. They just had to choose the worst Yoda shots, by the way. The spoiler and trailer shots seemed more realistic than this.Jadeite wrote:Wow, those suck.
I like the new score which was heard in "Tragedy". It's much like a choiral Terminator score, but it still seems appropriate for the theme of the film. I'm rather fond of the smoothness of the coopoeration between choir and orchestra, though.
Is anyone else noticing that fades between shots are done with horizontal lines?
I'm hoping that the film is not equally disappointing
Musically, these are fascinating. Teaser is standard, but The Dark Side Unleashed is very interesting. Firstly, it has the Imperial March, but then it becomes... something different. It sounds similar to the music right before the first Death Star is destroyed (you know, what James Horner copied in Aliens), but... different, more lethargic, more downplayed and brassy. The Original Nex wrote:Three TV Spots are up on TOS, open to everyone.

Tragedy's music, I won't even bother. Its completely new. Seems that John William's won't be resting on his laurels for this film.
Portman's one dialogue scene was aggravating too.

Nitpick, but wasn't that bit of music originally from Mars, Bringer of War, not A New Hope?YT300000 wrote:It sounds similar to the music right before the first Death Star is destroyed (you know, what James Horner copied in Aliens)
Edit: Just trying to distinguish between stealing from Star Wars and sharing a common source of influence... sorry if this is too nitpicky.
