Nope, but as said earlier, there are 'quantifications' like how much Hypermatter is consumed in a second by the reactors and vague references to power like 'can blast-melt an ice moon' type thing.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

(remembers Super Battle Droid smashing up a regular Battle Droid in its way) Somehow I doubt the droids' programming cares much about friendly fire.
The droid was knocked over because it had been damaged immediately beforehand.

There's also at least one "traditional" quantification, on the Invisible Hand page:

It was damaged by fire from a SBD behind it. Friendly Fire.

Yummy. Too bad we didn't get some nice teraton HTL figures, though...
Why wonder why? The answer is simple: obviously, someone somewhere decided that he or she needed Baby Jesus up the ass.

I'm not too worried about it, especially with the statement on the same page concerning Invisible Hand's ability to melt the upper crust of Humbarine in an hour. Considering she's still smaller than an Imperator class, that's saying something.

Damn, I wish I had the ICS..... :( Damn US release date...

Er...unless you're not actually in California, you should be fine. How else do you think I got it today? *Points to his location*

Umm, I picked mine up today.

Sea Skimmer wrote:Its possible the driod AI was programmed in such a way that they where all concerned about friendly fire, that would be a rather huge issue with all sides of a circle firing inward, and thus they all fired very slowly. Heck in most shots most driod's aren't firing at all.
Thats actualy an interesting idea. Especialy if you take the SBD punching the normal BD as programing to ignore and disregard damaged or destroyed droids. You can understand that the programers wouldn't want them to see damaged or destroyed droids as friendlies and ignore them, you can see rapidly how it might lead to problems. And you also don't want them to spray without care for other droids, otherwise the Jedi with a little creative manouvering and speed might be able to get droids to kill themselves enmass.

So that might explain why the droids were only taking short aimed shots, except when they had a clear lock, perhaps at a targets back, then they fire a quick full auto burst.

Yeah, but all of the bookstores in my area don't have it yet. Screw this, I'm using Amazon from now on. :x

Knowing the annihilation rate and the accelerative capabilities of the Venator and supposing that it uses near-c particles to propell itself, is it possible to estimate the mass of the ship, and therefore roughly estimate the density of its armor and/or fuel?

It looked like it was damaged from a reflected bolt. The SBD's firing arm is visible to the BD's right.

Yup. And you don't have to assume about the bit about near-c parrticl;es.. its stated numerous times in the book.

So all you gotta do is figure out the volume of the starships, some mass.. and voila, you can figure out power generation. Don't forget to compensate for the fuel supply as well (orders of magnitude denser than the ship's bulk) when doing it.

Good. My most rudimentary calculation would suggest a mass of 400 million tonnes. I think this might be the dry mass or something like that. That corresponds to a mean density of about 20,000 kg/m³ if the Venator is a pyramid 1100 m by 100 m by 550 m. If I knew a little more about the air requirements of a human being, I could estimate how much of this space is air.

I'd need the actual ICS in front of me to get good dimensional data to accurately estimate of the size of the fuel tanks and thus the mass/density of the fuel.

Oh, I thought it was a through-and through shot from behind. It sounded like a SBD repeating blaster cutting out as we see several holes melted through the BDs chest. Then a SBD knocks the droid down and commences firing his RB.

Good luck. I tried browsing through a few days ago and couldn't find it listed.

EDIT: Shit, nevermind. I just did...

Yesterday when I hopelessly went to Borders, I discovered a nice big display table with dozens of copies of RotS, ICS, and VD. I have regained my faith in the system (for now)!
