Bah, you can get nearly as good for half that. What are you going to use that expensive, marginal improvement on processing power for?

Alan, how the hell is a 3500 a marginal improvement from a 3200? Are you half blind?
And that Graphics card is not 'minor improvement'.

There's only one AIW x800. No options available. I'm using a Shuttle FN95. Of course, that's a kinda stupid question considering it's a SFF system, the case of which comes with the motherboard.Matt Huang wrote:did you get the 128 mb or the 256 mb x800 card?
also, what motherboard are you using?

For me, that kind of differance is worth shelling out an extra 50$ which was the differance at the time I put in my order.

Well, if ~4-6 frames per second over the 3200+ is worth $50 to you, it's worth $50 to you... not so sure I'd call it a significant advantage, though. But then it probably is significant if the CAS latency's that notable to you.
Personally, if I were so hellbent on squeezing that much performance out of my system, I'd probably just OC the 3200+ up to 3500+ speeds.
Different strokes, I guess.

Not to mention I wanted the new Winchester core(it gets HOT here, I wanted as cold as I could get) and there was no 3200+ Winchester in stock.Uraniun235 wrote:Well, if ~4-6 frames per second over the 3200+ is worth $50 to you, it's worth $50 to you... not so sure I'd call it a significant advantage, though.
