of water in bow!"
"Schiesse! I'll never see my son grow up......*CRUNCH*"

I. Day and night
We have not closed our eyes
On the great hunt on the high seas
Behind binoculars
And wet to the bone,
The watch peers out for tonnage,
The diesel engines sound, the sea grows rough,
The boat is so small
And the sea so large,
Now it depends on every hand
From the captain to the last man.
Refrain
Home is so far from here,
Home, we greet you,
For you we travel here,
The waiting death in the torpedo tube,
Straight to the enemy! U-boats forward.
II. Two weeks we've already stood
On deck and at diving stations
Valhalla still not in sight,
The days pass by
In perpetual sameness
And still no quarry.
Suddenly an alarm sounds from the tower!
A large convoy
Pushes hard through the storm! Now it depends on every hand
From the captain to the last man.
Refrain
Home is so far from here,
Home, we greet you,
For you we travel here,
The waiting death in the torpedo tube,
Straight to the enemy! U-boats forward.
III. An order to 40 men!
Now lads the chase is on.
All tubes free and ready to fire.
If the enemy also
In wild flight zigs to the south
Our eels do not pass by.
Now comes a tanker,
Already the torpedo runs
And sets it aflame.
There a flaming torch lights the heavens
As a greeting to our Admiral.
So how is the game's music?

Uh, why?

I'll probably get this though, it looks awesome.
Ever heard of Dangerous Waters?
Sure, the graphics aren't as good as in SHIII, but:
It has the Seawolf, Akula, and 688 SSN's, the Kilo, the Orion and Seahawk, as well as an FFG-7 for you to command, good music, a ton of weapon systems as well a great TMA representation.
Oh, and it comes with a giant, spiral-bound manual.
Actually, I have a cochlear implant that lets me hear, but I rarely use it these days; only when I really need to.

Its kewl: although I wish they'd included a card that said 'ALL YOUR TORPEDOES WILL FAIL TO DETONATE AT IMPACTS LESS THAN 45 DEGREES' in bit red letters as it would have saved me much clanging-frustration.
There are a few functions that you can't get done for you that shit me: calculating a ship's heading, parallelling a ship, quickly working out a course/speed to ensure a given amount of fuel for attacks, etc. The navigator should be marking the assumed position of ships spotted based on course and speed, etc. Also, not having a 'leave harbour safely' option is so incredibly stupid it puzzles me: your navigator doesn't say 'actually, sir, that course takes us over Denmark'. Useless bastards the lot of them.
But I can't play it because it usually crashes before I can finish a patrol.
I've had a few CTDs; but nothing serious, this game seems to vary wildly
some people it runs smoothly on their machiens, the others it CTDs crazily,
it might have something to do with Star Force....
Anyhoo, the GDC is in SH3:
A kind fellow hacked the data files and found this texture...
*Chatters excitedly*

Wow, I didn't know that SH3 was out. Thanks, Shep! Looks great with a lot of details, I'll look around here in Stockholm and see if I can find it somewhere.
I don't mind the copy protection, but does it really install a lot of s*** on the computer?
