General plot questions from Clone Wars chpt 21 to 25.
No spoilers for ROTS as usual please. Many thanks.
I've got some general plot questions that I still cant figure out:
1)Anakin's scar on his face. How did he get it? It was never shown on screen.
2)The change from clonetroopers to stormtroopers was never justified in the cartoon. Those stormtroopers we see on chapter 22 onwards, are they still clones from Kamino or raw noobish recruits that make up the Galactic Empire stormtroopers?
3)Anakin's final "test". This whole part is so contrived. Did the jedi council intentionally send obiwan and anakin to that backwater frozen planet for anakin's final "test"? (note that Palpy was pushing them to go). Or did they really had something to investigate? And why did Obi wan sent out anakin alone? Would it not be dangerous if he really met a trade federation droid army?

I'll do my best to answer the second and third– number one I don't knwo.
They're simply the usual clones in updated armor suits, straight from Kamino like usual except that this is the third generation.Rommie2006 wrote:2)The change from clonetroopers to stormtroopers was never justified in the cartoon. The Force guided them to go there– it was the base that had created/modified Grievous after all, since it had his schematics there. Obi sensed that Anakin needed to do this alone in order to truly become a Jedi, and simply followed the Force's will.Rommie2006 wrote:3)Anakin's final "test". This whole part is so contrived. Why wonder why? The answer is simple: obviously, someone somewhere decided that he or she needed Baby Jesus up the ass.

Unknown. Some point after he is Knighted, he shows up on Naboo to see Padme and he has the scar. There might be a comic or another EU source, but if there is, I haven't seen it.Rommie2006 wrote:1)Anakin's scar on his face. How did he get it? It was never shown on screen.
I'm fairly sure there was a source posted on here somewhere that says ALL the troops involved in the Clone Wars are clones and that Civilians don't start making their way into the ranks until the Republic becomes the Empire. Damned if I can find it though.2)The change from clonetroopers to stormtroopers was never justified in the cartoon. Mace didn't seem really opposed to them going, he just seemed unsure about how good the intel was. I doubt the Council knew Anakin would have faced his final test then and there, but it was a bonus that his spirit was tested while on the mission to find/destroy Gervious, hence Obi letting him go solo. Yea, sure, if Anakin had stumbled across an army, it wouldn't be too groovy, but considering what we know the more powerful Jedi, like Mace, are capable of doing, it wouldn't have been too much of a problem for him to escape, run back to Obi and say "Oh, yea, you know all those troops up on our ships in orbit? Tell them to land would you?"3)Anakin's final "test". This whole part is so contrived. I thought that it was mentioned that by this time multiple 'strains' were being used. Though I am not sure if this happened once the Republic became the Empire.2)The change from clonetroopers to stormtroopers was never justified in the cartoon. Her name's in the RotS novelization, more than once.VT-16 wrote:
I think he fights Asajj in Republic #74 where he gets that scar. Since the scar is in the movie as well, that makes her semi-G-canon.

Durge, a bounty hunter of a long-lived alien species. Basically he's like a bunch of worms that work together with a hive mind to become one cohesive organism, and as we know he is very difficult to kill.
