I tripped stepping up to the Kareoke stage, the bruise on my shin formed a bloodclot. The clot burst in my foot (lucky me, it didn't burst elsewhere like my skull or, chest, or eyes), however it was touch and go on my foot for a while, fortunatly I had good protection and good drugs.

I knew a guy whose foot was rotting, literally. He'd limp around the bar, a diabetic drunk off his ass, while his foot was a bandaged, swollen, supurating obscenity.

You could smell it. Don't know if it was actual gangrene, or just poor hygiene.

He's dead now...

I have the de riguer poor circulation; when it's cold my feet get so cold I can feel it from the inside out. I can actually feel how the joints in my toes are colder than the rest of my foot.

Cold bones...I love my traitor pancreas.

at the same time I went to the hospital just after my accident happened, got medical etc. Matt (yosemite's resident Walmart Diabetic), was hospitalized, because his room mate complained about the stench factor, they had to cut off both his legs from the knee down. Matt doesn't work here anymore, Matt whose mom shops at Walmart, and who eats nothing but McDonalds, candy and Ice Cream, and drinks nothing but Mt. Dew....

James Carter, my co-worker and fellow cook in the park for 5 years (1995 to 2000) despite complaints from guests, union shop stewards (myself included), health inspectors, managers, etc. this guy still lasted, in fact as a Union Rep. I brought a complaint against him, for sexually harrassing minors, and bragging about spending his weekends down south of the border with underaged girls, or attempting to purchase a 14 year old as a slave. The company refused to get rid of him because they were afraid that the Union would file a complaint....

After that the members of the staff finally got so sick of him, they called the FBI hotline.
