combat wise, I put two B1s on par with 1 human. Offcourse by the time you've grown and trained said human soldier, you could have made a ton of droids on no time

1 properly equipped human. That means a B1 is equal to about 5 redshirts at least.

Depends, plot points are good, as is scaling and such like from the more cinematic cutscenes such those in Dark Forces 2. Other aspects of games - possibly the number of Acclamators in Republic Commando, are affected by game mechanics, and the rendering limitations of the platforms the game is designed for.
Scaling issues: I trust the games use the correct values for ship sizes as opposed to the starwars.com nonsense sizes?

Droids only suck ass in SW because it's STAR WARS.

They have real armies in Star Wars, not ship security. The have training for their soldiers, heavy body armor, heavy weapons, air and ground armored support, artillery and loads of other ship seriously lacking in Star Trek.

Yes droids suck ass against a well trained, well equipped enemy.

Against Redshirts they'd be fucking little Rambos.

Indeed. And if 2000 romulan soldiers can threaten Vulcan, one trade fed ship could conquer the Federation.

A million B1s in one Trade Fed ship vs 150 planets means ca. 6700 B1s per planet. Conquer the planet and set up a theater shield to block transporters and orbital bombardment. And the Feddies are not about to beat them in spaceborne operations.

I was thinking of the Vengance there, and given that the Vengance only appears in the game's cutscenes, yeah. Kinda hard to mess that up.

Truely, i did not know that.

But you know, now that i think about it, it makes perfect sense. The sun would generate heat and energy in all directions so it wouldnt be nearly as focused as something less powerful. The overall output is enormosu but the energy generated by a small part of the surface probably isnt.

Replace Droids with Imperial Guard and you have another valid statement.
