I thought the rule was if a part of a source is contradicted by a higher source you just throw out that part (not the whole source). I never heard that The Glove of Darth Vader (that's the only one we're talking about right, with Trioculous the Emperor's son?) was ever classified as N-canon (non-canon).

Even the Star Wars Holiday Special isn't decanonized completely (again unless something happened while I was away).

And yeah, while things that are contradicted are overridden, the rest of the EU even reconstructs much of the goings on in those books, basically so that they aren't so retarded.
