The Official Episode III spoiler thread

Wait a second, those 15 tracks are the entire soundtrack?
Woah, I'm probably going to listen to this a million times before May 19th...

EDIT: Haven't listened yet, but will in a few minutes. Reaction may or may not be posted.

YT, please remove that link. Telling people to go to MF.com is enough, and I woud personally prefer if SDN didn't get involved in any possible legal situations that MF or DP could get into, which they seriously believe might happen.

I've only chosen to listen to Battle of Heroes as my spoiler boundries are being compromised far too much. Also, it's one thing to know the facts, but once you know the music, you know how the film is going to flow and you will feel emotions that should be saved until May 19th.YT300000 wrote: Woah, I'm probably going to listen to this a million times before May 19th...
But I have no right to preach against spoiling oneself in the spoiler thread.
Wow. Fucking wow. Not as good as the OT, but William's best work in a long time...
While there are some influences from more modern composers that haven't been in previous Star Wars soundtracks, what really struck me was the last track. The credits at about 5 minutes went to the original cut of the ANH credits, the longer version that didn't get to be in the movie. After hearing that, I realized that the whole thing had truly come full circle, and I was only one step from watching the movie - one step from the end of Star Wars. Sure, I can watch it again (and will probably do so millions of times in my life) but it will never be NEW again. I'll be an entire chapter of my life, just... completed.
And to think this was going to be one sentence at first...

That soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. I especially enjoyed how the end of the opening crawl dived straight into bombastic battle music, instead of fading away semi-mysteriously like in the previous 5 episodes.
"Battle of the Heroes" had an incredibly tragic feel to the whole thing, and I could almost see Anakin getting cut down by Obi Wan while listening to that series of chords being hammered out at about 3:00.
"Anakin's Betrayal" is the track that will be playing as Anakin attacks the Jedi Temple, and as the Jedi throughout the galaxy are slaughtered by their clones. The sweeping choral music is perfect for this image of the ultimate tragedy: the end of the Jedi Order.
The ending credits brought a tear to my eye when I heard the throne room music. The grandiose ending bars are the perfect sequence to bring an end to the Prequel Trilogy, and the whole Star Wars Saga.

I like Palpatine's teachings. I could swear we listen to this in the film when he' showing Anakin the Bas-Relief of the Jedi in his office. Pretty cool.

May not be new to all, but here's a full frame image of Anakin being rebuilt.

I bought the novel Saturday afternoon and read it almost straight through. This movie is going to be great. Although, I know for a fact that I'm going to bawling at the end like a fanboy bitch......but that's ok
One thing from the book that concerns me is the amount (and importance) of internal dialogue by the characters...especially Anakin. He continues to fight a war within himself (the dragon in his heart) which really showed his struggle between the light and dark side. I wonder how they're going to pull that off in the movie...?

The novelisation and the actual script are a bit different (for the record I was not really impressed at all with what I read from the novel: I felt that Stover should have shutted the fuck up and more let the story tell more of itself). But I thought the script was very solid and a great read, which isn't common for a script.Butterbean569 wrote:I bought the novel Saturday afternoon and read it almost straight through. Could be that you're too close to someone else who was banned and ended up caught in the block.Enforcer Talen wrote:black background, orange text? says Im banned.

The gendarmes at LucasFilm have been hard at work indeed.....it seems that links are getting shut down just as fast as they are getting set up. If any format of the script mysteriously wound up in the email inbox of irishmick79@hotmail.com, I would be most purturbed and upset by this development.
Also, it's really hard to sift through all the feedback in this thread to find the links with actual information on the film. It seems to me this thread could use a streamlining effort.
