If this is any indication, my bitch about the low detail on the Venator kit is unfounded. Of course, I'm waiting until the kit comes out before passing final judgment.
Hopefully there will be enough greeblies so that I won't be distracted while scratching the hangar/flight deck.
EDIT: Here's a clearer photo of the RSD.

Yeah, if I recall, you might as well just scratchbuild an ISD model for all the work that's needed to accurise the one from AMT-Ertl...Firefox wrote:It looks better than the old ISD kit, at any rate. The detail can be added on, unlike the ISD, which was also poorly proportioned.
Hopefully it'll let me build a hangar deck complete with starfighters and gunships.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

Someone on the Starship Modeler forums is making an accurizing set for the MPC/Ertl kit, complete with new engines, brim trenches, hangar bay, and so forth. If it were reasonably priced, I wouldn't mind going through the trouble of building an ISD faithful to the original, but as it stands, I'm happy with my Hasbro toy.
