Favorite Star Wars ship?

Post by Castor Troy »

What is your favorite Star Wars ship, out of the movies, books, etc.? Canon ships, of course.

I'm going to have to say the Eclipse, because not only does it have a superweapon for cracking planetary crusts, but it's got that bad-ass look to it, along with being heavily armed.

Admiral Giel´s flagship gets my blood flowing:

And the "hunchback cruiser" (from Dark Empire I) looks awesome as well:

Ain't she a beauty? Sure. Not the most powerful, or most effectively designed. but damn if she ain't the pinnacle of the dagger aestetic.

I'd have to say the MonCal Liberty-type cruisers are my favorite. Sleek, large, and powerful. Too bad the Liberty herself got vaporized... :(

The Allegiance-class Star Destroyer is probably my personal favorite.

I also like the Missile Boat, the TIE Defender, the Chiss Clawcraft, and the X-wing.

Executor, one of the Imperator/Imperial class ships, Venator, and the Lambda class T-4A.

I have a little soft spot for the Vengeance class, as well.

The basic Star destroyer. Who doesnt like the classic desing and to me it is The definite Star wars vessel. Executor and the Death star come in close fighting for the second spot.

Me too. The ISDII from The Empire Strikes back defined Star Wars for me. Nothing was more majestic, grandiose and awe inspiring than that white arrowhead bearing down on whatever it was chasing.

My top three, in no particular order:

1. Executor
2. Lambda Shuttle
3. Imperator

You can see why I like the SE addition to Empire Strikes Back. Any chance to see both the Executor and a Lambda shuttle makes my day, even if it interrupts "Escape from Cloud City".

I've always favored the small ships like the Falcon, the Outrider, the Ebon Hawk and the Jade Shadow. Plus, Barloz-class frieghters and YT-2000 transports.

Quite so. I love all the Star Destroyers, though I think the Republic-class is ugly as shit.

I also really like the YT-2000. From the first second I saw the Otana in XWA, I've just loved it.

Imperial Capital Ship: Super Star Destroyer
Imperial Starfighter: TIE Interceptor

Other Capital Ship: Hapan Battle Dragon
Other Starfighter: Hapan Mytel Fighter

Yeah, that ship was awesome. After flying the Falcon in the last missions, I realized that it would be better if it were the Otana.

Basic Star destoryer and Tie interceptor, the these two basic designs helped to define the empire for me.

for Rebels, the winged Mon cal cruiser and X-wing, again the most obvious symbols of the rebellion

The Executor class. The truest sign of pure imperial power, truly awe inspiring and beautiful. Magnificence and elegance all in one package.

The Eclipse, not just because of its power but also because of the aethestics. For some reason, I just never liked the rough appearance of the Executor.[/img]
