Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith for DS and GBA. Oh noes?

Post by Praxis »

Well they released GBA ROTS screenshots last week, and we just got DS screenshots. There is good news and bad news.

First, the bad news.

GBA shots:

DS shots:

CURSE YOU, LUCASARTS! IT'S THE SAME GAME!

The good news:
It appears to have co-op and vs modes, AND the DS version has DS specific levels, such as...

Go force powers...

And lookie! Co op vs Dooku!

And...is that a TIE fighter?

Also, the co-op mode plays through Ep2 through Ep3, and the battles in between (Clone Wars cartoon?).
So...good, bad, maybe? What do you guys think?

About that TIE Fighter shot... Isn't that an X-Wing, too?

It's probably a bonus level or something.

Horribly disappointing. Definitely not using much of the DS hardware.

Awesome. Now I might have to put more effort into that DS I was eyeing. It looks like the Arcade scrollers of TMNT past. Those were some of and still are the sweetest games produced. I always hated the platformer that was Super Star Wars. The NES games weren't good either, but I always hated how all the mags talked like they were the best games ever. I hope this does what Jedi Power Battles DC accomplished, and kicks ass in gameplay.

So purty
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

MY EYES! ZE GOGGLES, THEY DO NOTHING!

Those are some damn ugly games. I've never understood the appeal of miniature game systems in the first place- never had a Gameboy or anything like it, and never will.

Because with a Gameboy you can play Tetris. :P

I have to admit that I am shocked at the terrible quality of the models. While the DS sucks with textures lacking texture filtering, it has shown that its rendering capability in terms of polygons exceeds that of the Nintendo 64.

Yet those graphics look on par with an SNES 3d game (remember the Hoth and Bespin levels in Super Star Wars? The Death Star level too? Those had BETTER graphics!).

They could have at least made it on par with Shadows of the Empire...
