Being DS2 automatically means that it has fixed the vulnerability.

[rabid Trekkie mode] The Galaxy-class, of course. It's got <technobabble> shields, and multi-<technobabble>-ton torpedoes, and oh, the <technobabble> device.[/rabid Trekkie mode]

Actually, a Tortoise-class Gateship is pretty powerful. The main gun can only fire once per 12 hours at full power, but will annihilate a ship with under 90,000 mm perfect steel armor equivalent. It also carries 12 laser cannon, 8 light railguns, 8 heavy railguns, and 24 gatling laser cannon for point defense. It carries 40 CF-78 space fighters and up to 1600 combat drones, along with an unknown number of Combat Frames (small humanoid mecha 4.6 meters tall). It's not very fast or maneuverable, but it's designed to be the centerpiece of a fleet, and more as a transport than a warship.

My favourite ST ship Miranda (Movies)

Why?

Tough as nails (STII:WOK)

Good weapons arc for her size (STII Again)

Reliabale (STIV:TVH)

Compact (STII again)

And it just look's damn cool :D :D :D

Romulan D'deridex, as stated in Stravo's Star Crossed, it is well nigh invincible, destroys Star Destroyers on sigh...ack...ack...ack

I kid, I kid. ISD and ISDII get my vote, having no experience with WH40K or Culture etc.

Best designed ship? Hmmm. I'm having to go with the ISDII. Simple and effective. And what a awe/terror inspiring shape...

Coolest designed ship? White Star. I just like it. Or the Virago from Shadows of the Empire.

I know I'll probably be stomped, lawnmowed, and incinerated to hell for saying this but I don't think the ISD is a good design.

Its triangular shape is cool but its bridge tower is so exposed it screams, "Look! Bridge here! Shoot please!"

Hence why a single A-wing was able to take out the Executor once its shields were down.
What's her bust size!?

The Executor would have survived in open space, the problem was she plowed into the death star before the crew could regain control. The A-wing didn't destroy her.

*Transcript of black box recording...*

[BB recovered from wreckage of Green Squadron. Flight of 3 X-wings.]

Voice1 (identified as Green Leader): "We've got TIEs inbound, combat spread. S-Foils locked in attack position.
Voice2 (identified as Green 3): "Got visual... Wait a minute! Those aren't standard TIEs!"
Voice1: "Dear GOD! They're playing Britney Spears and Avril Langam at high volume!"
Voice3 (identified as Green 2): "I - I can't take! My ships hit resonance frequency! OOOOH GOD MY EARS! *static*"
Voice1: "We've lost 2!"
Voice2: "Coming around! Damnit! They've got rear firing subwoofers! I can't hold it! *static*"
Voice1: "Cmon... Cmon... Missiles away!... NO! NO! NO! A wall of bad language from an EMINEM song just took out my missiles... Another one is coming in! Its playing Celine Dion! I'm ejecting!"

Play a Lynn Minmei song on that rig, and the enemy will be trying to pull their own heads off.

Psst...Ando...It's Lavigne, not Langam. My roomie's obsessed with her, which I use to make jokes incessantly (usually about how she looks 14).

Yes, specially the translated versions... you know, all three songs that always somehow happened to be her "latest" song.

I'd say a Xeelee nightfighter is quite a nice ship.
Powerful, durable, yet elegant...
