I use popup stopper. It works well enough. A few get through occasionally. Only problem it tries to kill the PM popup on the board. :?

I use the joys of Opera browser which has the "disable popup windows" option. Kills'em dead good.

Twofold, Popup stoper for when I'm wading into KNOW Pop-up hell areas(No pop-ups, no new windows at all as a matter of fact) and for day to day use
POW
http://www.analogx.com/welcome.htm

Its a list based pop-up and there are downloadable lists less than 100k of around 8,000 styles of pop-ups, I got it last month and since then have seen a single pop-up, even when for fun I tested it by searching for cheats and warz versions of games I already have and I never got hit by a popup(And got hit by twenty to thirty a page when I turned it off to check)

Or when you finally kill the shitstorm only to find a gigantic amount of crud on your desktop, that god damned Gator spyware auto-installed, your brand spanking new water-cooled overclocked AMD Thunderbird chugging and gushing out error messages like an old 286! It's not over yet; when you restart your browser you find your homepage reset to some porn site RayCav wouldn't touch and all your security settings pushed down as low as they can go (to ever so helpfully open the door to sneak 6875343589 MORE spywares onto your computer to, yes, make EVEN MORE POPUPS!!!)... But It STILL isn't over! Cut to a month later: you get a $600 phone bill (That's not as high as you think: I've seen $40000) because of a nice helpful program from Hell known as a Porn Dialer. OK you're prolly thinking I'm exaggerating, but it only LOOKS that way! I think www.spywareinfo.com has the scoop on this bullshit...

I use Opera to browser the net. You can disable Java pretty easily. Even if you allow pop ups you can make them appear BEHIND the current window, so they dont annoy you as much.

I use Proxomitron. Works with all of my browsers, and I can disable it easily when it gets in the way. Its filters are also easily modifiable.

In which case the Alt-F4 combo comes in handy.

I think Popup Stopper is the best, it's the more flexible (sometimes you want that POPUP to appear). I stopped using PKs when I started using Mozilla. Why kill popups if you can prevent them from appearing in the first place? ;)

I use Chimera's built-in pop-up blocker. Chimera is a Gecko-based browser for OS X, so it has the pop-up blocking functionality built right in.

I've also modified my /etc/hosts file to include an extremely long list of hosts mapped to 0.0.0.0.

I agree, Proxomitron works very well. I just need to remember to put it on automatic startup for when I have to reset my computer.
