Too stupid to be real......
In an interview on the whereabouts of 8mil dollars of missing state equipment, an Arizona state official stated not five minutes ago on television, for all to see, "It's not missing, we simply cannot put our hands on it it at this time."!

Dumbasses, they meant to say it's been stolen and we haven't gone to the pawn shop to get them back yet

Even the IRS doesnt know where a lot of its equipment is.
Seriously though, Ive recently learned that some companys dont track equipment under a certain dollar amount. It simply gets expensed and does not reside on the books.
I wonder if some of the missing equipment falls under this possiblity. Its one thing for accounting to have no idea where a laptop is, but if engineering knows its in the lab, then its only sorta lost.

Reminds me of the UTAS geology computers incident.
Geology department got a whole lab load of new computers delivered and a nice big iron box server too.
They left them in their boxes in the department foyer until they could install them.
By the end of the day every single one of them had gone walkies.

Probably a drug sniffing dog, training paid for by the state.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:Then, why do they bother looking for it? Even dumber than the excuses for not finding something are the things themselves. Why would a dog be "state equipment"?

Okay..TrailerParkJawa wrote:The City of Mountain View has a dog that is used to chase geese off the greens at the municipal golf course. Im sure somewhere the dog is listed as city property and not an employee. Why would a dog be "state equipment"?

They should put the Dog in charge. At least it gets things done.TrailerParkJawa wrote:He asked why a dog would be property. I provided what might be an answer.Okay..
Actually its kinda funny, because one day the dog killed some geese instead of chasing them away. Now they wont use the dog anymore. IIRC, the dog cost the city 3 grand.

The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.
Hehe. It's like Enterprise, where the dog is smarter than everyone in charge.Sea Skimmer wrote:They should put the Dog in charge. At least it gets things done.TrailerParkJawa wrote:He asked why a dog would be property. I provided what might be an answer.Okay..
