Firefox v1.0.3 is out

Post by HyperionX »

Get it here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Or, if you already have Firefox version 1.0 or greater, go to Tools->Options and clicked the advanced tab and under "Software Updates" click on "Check Now".

Looks like they finally fixed that "Add/Remove Programs" bug that's been in place since 1.0.

I see that. It's about time. When I got 1.0.2, I had to delete 1.0.1 because it was still on there.
A question, anyone know if this new version fixes that big Javascript flaw in all Mozilla-type browsers that was noticed earlier? There was a thread about that problem a week or so ago.

Looks like that bug's been smashed; try it out yourself. The full list of security fixes is here.

Their website notes that 1.0.3 has fixed the problem. Firefox is no longer vulnerable to that exploit.

Yeah, I saw that from Datana's second link. Now I won't have to keep turning Javascript off. :)
